OUR MESSAGE TO YOU…No one chooses to be a victim. Criminal acts are always sudden, unexpected, and traumatic. By effectively prosecuting criminals and assisting victims throughout the criminal process, the Office of the District Attorney can provide legal closure and hopefully emotional relief to senseless acts of crime. To that end, it is our responsibility to know the law and treat you with respect. We recognize that victims may be unfamiliar with court procedures and that the court system can sometimes be confusing and frustrating. The victims’ services offered by the Office of the District Attorney are designed to help you through the process. Our Victims Service Officers provide direct, personal assistance to crime victims.
